Mostly prior studies have discussed the responsible leadership as an antecedent of sustainability related outcomes. However, there is lack of research in explaining the effect of responsible leadership on individual outcomes that leads to organizational outcomes. Therefore, the present study aims to assess the direct effect of responsible leadership on participative decision making and participative decision making on organizational commitment. Moreover, the study assesses the indirect effect of responsible leadership on organizational commitment through participative decision making. Using snowball sampling technique, the data was collected from 170 employees working in the service industry of Pakistan. The collected data was then analysed using SmartPLS 3.2.8. The findings of the study revealed the significant association of responsible leadership with participative decision making and participative decision making with organizational commitment.
