NOTION AND CONCEPT OF PEACE IN IKRAM ULLAH GRAN’S POETRY

Abstract

Peace is the name given to a state of society where all issues are at odds with each other. The concept of peace is also interpreted as healthy, positive international or inter-human relations in some situations. Achieve social, economic, equality and political rights and protection for all people in the region. In international relations, in times of peace, conflicts are interpreted differently. Destroying peace in general includes elements such as insecurity, social deterioration, economic inequality, inconsistent political situation, nationalism and racism.

The general definition of peace includes many meanings. Among them, peace as a whole is also known as security, prosperity, freedom, defense, fortune and welfare. Individually, peace refers to the concept of a non-violent way of life, which is characterized by honor, justice and good intentions. The state of peace in an individual society applies equally to every individual, while the whole society of any region as a whole is meant. In different languages ​​of the world, the word peace or security is also used as welcome or farewell words. For example, the Hawaiian word Aloha or the Arabic word salam means peace or security. These words are used as farewell or welcome words. In English, the word PEACE is used in farewell words, especially a phrase for the dead, such as, Rest in Peace. 

Poetry on the theme of peace is found in every language of the world. Pashtun poets have also expressed their views on the subject of peace. One of them is Mr Ikram ullah Gran in these poets. He has spoken well on the subject of peace in his poetry. In this article, these verses are highlighted, in which he has tested the nature of peace.
