EFFICIENCY OF NEW BREEDING METHODS IN CREATING RAPID COTTON VARIETIES.

Abstract

The article provides information on determining the presence of markers for early maturity,
tolerance to wilt and uniformity in families and lines of medium staple cotton in a biological
nursery, breeding nurseries of the 1st and 2nd year and the breeding nursery. It is shown that
on the basis of marker-associated selection, as the level of the selection process increases, the
efficiency of selection of the selection material improves.
