THREE-DIMENSIONAL GEOSTATISTIC MODELING OF HIDDEN URANIUM-RARE-METAL-RARE-EARTH MINERALIZATION (BLACK SHALE FORMATIONS OF WESTERN UZBEKISTAN ON THE BASIS OF ANALYSIS OF THE SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF RARE RARE-EARTH ORE MINERALS)
Abstract
In recent years, the extraction and consumption of rare earth elements (REE) in the
world has been steadily growing due to the sharply increased needs of high-tech industries.
This article substantiates the possibility of creating our own mineral resource base of REE by
using black shale objects as a source. In Uzbekistan, manifestations of rare earth
mineralization are known in black carbonaceous-siliceous shales, but deposits have not yet
been identified. For the first time, the geochemical zoning of black shale mineralization is
shown on the example of the black shale deposit of rare earth elements in the Northern
Nuratau mountains.
