This research aims to identify the effectiveness of a proposed teaching model based on the theory of social constructive learning in the achievement and development of effective open thinking among students of the College of Basic Education and to achieve the goal of the research, the researchers used the descriptive and experimental methods of partial control, theresearch sample consisted of (80) students from The Department of Special Education in the College of Basic Education, University of Babylon, and the number of students of the experimental group reached (40) students who studied according to the proposed teaching model based on the theory of social constructive learning, and the number of students of the control group reached (40) students who studied in the traditional way. In the variables of age, intelligence, previous knowledge, academic level, and the cardiac application of the statistical thinking test, the two researchers prepared a proposed teaching model based on the theory of social constructive learning, and the two researchers prepared two research tools, the first tool was an achievement test consisting of (30) items of type Multiple choice, the second tool is the effective open thinking test and it consists of (36) items, and the research results showed the superiority of the experimental group that was studied according to the proposed teaching model based on the theory of social constructivist learning on students of the control group that studied according to the traditional method of attaining educational statistics and effective open thinking
