Abstract

This paper examines research on countries such as Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and many Asian countries that comprise the principal of producing, processing and exporting illegal drugs. Studies through research literature and reading official data shows that drug trafficking activities has indeed increase in the recent years. The research has indicated several factors and the technologies that contribute on the rise of drug trafficking and how it can be reduced or even prevented by implementing technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning on law enforcement agencies.
