SOME REMARKS ON THE NAMING OF MAHMUD ZAMAKHSHARI'S “RABI' UL-ABRAR”

Abstract

This article examines the fact that the famous medieval scholar Jarullah Mahmud Zamakhshari's work "Rabi' ul-abrar" was given different names in manuscripts, medieval sources, modern publications and catalogs. The article mainly revealed that the scholars copied the title of the work from each other's books, and that there were changes in the second part of the title of the work. As well as, In the play, Mahmud Zamakhshari also quoted and quoted various hadiths, exhortations, exemplary teachings and events narrated by the prophets, followers, historians, scholars and poets who lived before him. Therefore, it was observed that in different periods the name of the work was expressed in other words, but in the names consisting of words with the same meaning and content. The study also found that dots in the Arabic alphabet in primary Arabic manuscripts were also a major factor in the different names given to the work.
