Abstract

Ibn al-Hanat was one of the poets who combined medicine, philosophy, logic, literature and Islamic sciences, and this was evident in his poetry, except that he was accused of his religion and banished for that on the authority of Cordoba. Praise, especially the princes of the state of BaniHammoud. As for the other purposes, the description was not without its fragments and poems because poetry - at least - refers to the chapter of description, as the owner of the mayor says, as well as the purpose of mourning, wisdom, satire, etc.
The verses prevailed over his poetry as he tried to build his syllables on shortening and intensification, and he did not observe the traditional construction of the Arabic poem from an introduction or acquaintance to a good concluding and conclusion, as he used to praise directly.
As for his artistic features, they included the poetic language. To find an important place for him among the brilliant poets in Andalusia.
