Through the regression of panel data from 2010 to 2019 of all formal MFIs in Vietnam, this study found that number of branches and the health care services outreach had positive relationships with the operational sustainability, the age and the diversification of health care support activities had a negative impact on the operational sustainability. The productivity and the diversification of health care support activities had a positive relationship with the health care services outreach; number of branches had a negative impact on the health care services outreach. This study found the integrating of the operational sustainability and the health care services outreach of microfinance institutions. This study proposes policy measures to increase the operational sustainability and advance the health care services outreach of MFIs.
