Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is due to the increasing role of Central Asia in world politics in recent years. Uzbekistan, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, occupies a special place in the system of relations between Russia and the countries of Central Asia. On the one hand, the republic is an important economic partner of the Russian Federation, on the other; it always occupies a special position in some political issues and is a difficult ally of Moscow. All the above indicates that from the point of view of prospects for cooperation and options for developing further interaction between the CIS countries and Central Asia, it is important to focus on the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
